WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Quality Control Team Lead who will play a key role in ensuring product quality and supporting the daily operations of the Quality Control module. This role is responsible for overseeing inspections, identifying trends, implementing process improvements, and mentoring QC Inspectors to maintain high standards. The Quality Control Team Lead also supports production goals by addressing discrepancies, facilitating corrective actions, and ensuring safety and compliance. Overall, this position is essential to maintaining the organization’s quality standards, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Control Team Lead will report to the Quality Supervisor and work closely with a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
WHAT WE OFFER

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily operations of the QC module, including inspection and packaging, while reporting discrepancies and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor to determine and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with stakeholders to implement process enhancements.
- Routinely check all modules to ensure IMTEs are properly labeled and calibrated, reporting any issues to the Quality Supervisor.
- Assist with the timely issuance of work orders once approved.
- Support finished goods inspections and the implementation of PIRs for recut requests, including reporting any required NCR support.
- Conduct and assist with drysuit leak testing efficiently and accurately.
- Support QC Inspectors in classifying defects (major/minor) and reporting discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor.
- Facilitate reporting of issues to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in assigning tasks to QC module staff and ensure smooth hand-offs between shifts.
- Support or conduct sharps audits as needed, providing feedback and facilitating improvements with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, able to identify defects and ensure proper rework.
- Experience completing inspection and testing records, including product/serial numbers, inspection status, and documenting defective areas.
- Ability to support inspection, testing, and packing operations, and cross-train in other areas as needed to support production performance.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety regulations, taking initiative to suggest process improvements.
- Maintains a clean, safe workspace and promptly reports hazards, injuries, or accidents.
- Works independently while supporting team members, able to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, work with water, lift/pull items (over 40kg), and perform repetitive motions.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Observant and proactive in identifying trends or issues in production indicating quality concerns.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is an asset.
- Quick learner with the ability to implement improvements and support continuous quality initiatives.
