Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clinic operations. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing all operational functions, including HR and staffing, supporting finance, and ensuring the day-to-day business runs smoothly. The General Manager will empower the management group, streamline processes, and drive organizational effectiveness.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Oversee all operational functions across the clinic, including front- and back-office processes, scheduling systems, and patient experience.
  • Lead and support the management group, ensuring clarity in roles, accountability, and efficient workflow.
  • Manage HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and policy implementation.
  • Support financial operations by collaborating with the finance function, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to financial planning.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Board and the management team, preparing reports and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Implement process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards, workplace health and safety legislation, and organisational policies.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, supporting staff development and retention.
  • Leverage technology and automation to enhance clinic flow and reduce administrative burden.

What You Bring

  • Experience in a senior administrative or operations leadership role, preferably within a healthcare, clinic, or regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to oversee day-to-day operations and implement process improvements.
  • Strong background in HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a governance body (e.g., Board of Directors).
  • Proficiency in clinic management software, EMRs, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional maturity, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
