Site Manager (night shift) at Canadian Red Cross

Employment Status: Temporary Full-Time (5 Months until March 31, 2026)

The incumbent will coordinate all activities at the warming centre in collaboration with partners involved in providing services on site. Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, they will contribute to the planning and implementation of logistical activities and ensure the overall quality of services provided on site.
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1: Overall coordination
Coordinate the delivery of all services provided on site
Lead team meetings and meetings with service delivery partners on site, including the mobilization team.
Liaise and coordinate with service delivery partners.
Ensure compliance with the standards and procedures established by the CRC in Quebec.
Ensure that services meet the immediate, short-term and long-term recovery needs of impacted people.
Performs other duties, as required.
Responsibility 2: Health and safety management
Ensure that safety guidelines and procedures are communicated to all responders, and that they are understood and followed.
Promptly report any on-site incidents and follow the established protocol for issue tracking.
Responsibility 3: Planning, monitoring, and evaluation
Conduct ongoing evaluations of the capacity (material, financial and workforce) of the site under their responsibility based on the program needs, and communicate results and gaps to direct supervisor.
Regularly inform the operations manager about activities and share statistics, problems, and successes in accordance with established standards.
What we are looking for:
College diploma in a related discipline.
At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, including 3 years supervising a team.
Relevant combination of training and experience may be considered.
Experience as a Red Cross volunteer in Emergency Management is an asset, especially in a manager or supervisor capacity.
A good understanding of the role of the Red Cross in emergency response, relief and recovery is an asset.
Proficiency with computers (databases, Office suite) is required.
Language requirements: Be able to deliver services as required for the operation.
Give clear instructions and delegate tasks, make informed decisions, solve problems, provide the necessary guidance, provide feedback, and encourage teamwork.
Conflict resolution: Listen actively, demonstrate strong mediation and negotiation skills, and develop and implement mutually beneficial solutions and alternatives.
Communication: Be clear, concise, self-confident, and able to influence others.
Coordination: Foster opportunities for collaboration, communicate information, think strategically, and align and prioritize work plans.
Teamwork: Be useful to the team, be respectful of team members, be available and develop harmonious relationships.
Ability to remain calm in a crisis: Avoid letting emotions get in the way, remain professional and positive, and act confidently.
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary position (until March 31 2026).
The incumbent must be available to work night shifts and some weekends, on a rotating basis with other team members.
They must be able to respond effectively calmly and using sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-stress, and sometimes unpredictable environment.
