About the role

The Logistics & Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring seamless coordination between production planning, inventory management, and logistics operations within Custom Manufacturing. This position is responsible for translating demand forecasts into executable production schedules, managing material requirements, and maintaining optimal inventory accuracy. You will collaborate closely with vendors, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to guarantee timely component availability, efficient labour allocation, and compliance with corporate service goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and can balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving.


Your responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


Production & Logistics Planning
  • Review Kinaxis forecasts, firm production orders, run MRP cycles, and ensure component availability for scheduled production
  • Determine daily manpower requirements, communicate with Temp agency, raise POs, and validate invoices in Ariba
  • Update CMO calendars, manage production changes, and confirm capacity for incremental demand adjustments Inventory
Management
  • Work with planners to manage components and finished goods inventory to meet corporate service goals.
  • Input receipts of all components, reconcile discrepancies, and issue adjustments in SAP.
  • Issue cycle counts, log data into SAP, and lead annual physical inventory.
  • Investigate and reconcile Finish Goods, Loose Goods, and component inventory in SAP; monitor cycle count process and approve adjustments.
  • Control component obsolescence and maintain safety stock of office supplies with approved suppliers.

Vendor & Order Coordination
  • Order components from suppliers, confirm delivery timelines, and maintain alignment with production schedules.
  • Handle inbound/outbound discrepancies, cancellations, ASN issues, and ensure compliance with SOPs. System & Data Management
  • Create routings, update GIC master data and troubleshoot SAP IDOCs.
  • Issue SAP and TDS documents to shop floor to ensure correct components and assembly instructions.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory, labour efficiency, logistics performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs), support audits and certification standards.
  • Monitor labour efficiency, lead rework and inspection protocols, and implement data-driven process improvements.
  • Track and report KPIs regularly to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and refine operating procedures; proactively identify and resolve operational issues.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (College diploma considered).
  • 2+ years of experience in CPG supply chain, logistics, or production planning.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SAP; familiarity with WMS (Blue Yonder/JDA) and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office), math, and language proficiency.
  • Self-starter with continuous learning mindset and leadership abilities.
  • This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

Analytical thinker who translates complex data from Kinaxis, SAP, and Excel into action plans, detail-oriented with accurate inventory records and SOP compliance, strong cross-functional communicator with vendors, planners, contract manufacturers, and temporary staffing partners, able to prioritize under pressure and manage competing tasks to meet production and service targets, systems-savvy with SAP and WMS troubleshooting and master data management, continuous process improver using KPIs and root-cause analysis, organized planner who converts forecasts into executable schedules and optimizes labor and material availability, proactive problem-solver resolving ASN and inbound/outbound discrepancies and driving corrective actions, financially and procurement aware raising POs, validating Ariba invoices and controlling component obsolescence, and a self-motivated learner and leader who adapts to new tools and guides teams to deliver results
