Position Summary
Are you a Pathology Attendant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Respiratory Services department.Within a client and family centered care model, guided by the vision and values of the department and in accordance with established guidelines and standards of professional practice, the Pathology Attendant is responsible to prepare for and assist in the performance of autopsies and organ preservation under the direction of the Pathologist. This position performs various morgue duties, maintaining Health and Safety standards in the morgue and liaises with stakeholders. Providing assistance in the laboratory, this position also collects samples from patients, prepares laboratory samples for analysis and performs standard tests.

Qualifications
- Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized anatomy course, successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program and one year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
