Your Opportunity: Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Unit Manager is accountable for the effective management of human, financial and physical resources within Respiratory Therapy, ECG, SLP, Volunteer Services and Allied Health (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants). This front-line leadership role provides daily operational and clinical oversight to ensure high-quality care delivery in alignment with unit policies, procedures, and goals. The Unit Manager collaborates closely with other front-line managers, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain consistent standards and effectively convey objectives to the interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include monitoring and organizing workflow, ensuring efficient patient care delivery through staff scheduling and work assignments and managing performance and team culture to foster an environment of respect and compassion As a member of the management team, the Unit Manager contributes to strategic planning, process improvement initiatives, and the development and implementation of operational plans. The role also serves as a role model, integrating evidence-based best practices into daily operations. Success in this position requires advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills and strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
