Where You’ll Work

This is an on-site role working within our modern, purpose-built laboratory facility located in Fredericton, New Brunswick

 

What You Will Do

LuminUltra is hiring a Production Scientist to join our growing team at our facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This position offers an annual salary range of $45,000 to $50,000 base salary, depending on experience.

 

In the Production Scientist role, you will be a key contributor on the production team. You will perform all aspects of reagent production, assist with lab-related internal procedures and SDSs, as well as oversee general laboratory maintenance including equipment calibrations, water system QA/QC, and general housekeeping and maintenance. 

 

In this role, the Production Scientist will have key responsibilities, such as: 

  • Perform all aspects of reagent production including equipment decontamination, reagent batch preparation, QA, dispensing, labelling and record keeping.
  • Adhere to production schedules and update production planning as required. 
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements and partake in 5S organizational tactics.
  • Assist with lab-related internal procedures and SDSs.
  • Generation of procedures for lab-related tasks in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Oversee general laboratory maintenance including equipment calibrations, water system QA/QC, general housekeeping, and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor lab supplies and raw material inventory, initiate requisitions as needed. 
  • Adhere to internal and external standards, such as ISO, GMP/GLP, and LuminUltra’s Business Management System. 
  • Other duties as required.

 

Who You Are

If you are a collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly dependable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment this could be perfect the role for you! Additionally, you bring skills and experience such as: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent field of study. 
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.  
  • Knowledge of chemistry principles, calculations, and lab hygiene best practices. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work individually as well as part of a team. 
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
