Client Experience Manager at Generosity X
Digital Fundraising Strategist
Company Overview
Generosity X partners with charities to increase their annual giving revenue through optimization and innovation. We are laser-focused on growing annual fundraising programs and have a track record to prove it.
We help charities fuel their growth by acquiring new donors, retaining existing donors, and unlocking new sources of generosity. We believe within the depth of our souls that fundraising is meant to be jubilant, exciting and rewarding.
Our Approach & Values
Authenticity
All relationships are built on trust and being authentic allows for trust to grow. If something isn’t going well - let’s talk about it rather than avoid it.
Hustle
A fast-paced environment is important because it means we are excited about what we are working on and are eager to see the end result.
Be Generous
Having an abundance mentality means we can be generous with others and ourselves in order to make for the greatest possible outcome.
Ownership
We think like owners - your work is our work. Being entrepreneurial is also willing to roll up the sleeves, do the dirty work and acknowledge what we each bring to the table.
About You
You have a knack for asking the right questions—you are naturally curious. You love fundraising and marketing because it gives you a medium to learn and help others grow. Within your industry, you are on the hunt for the next insight, learning, or finding. You are excited by the idea of partnering with clients to understand their goals and creating a vision to bring those goals to life for donors.
As Client Experience Manager, you will take the helm of several client accounts and create fundraising strategies that drive results. You’ll collaborate closely with the team and clients to drive results that make a tangible difference. In this role, you’ll feel the joy of bringing generosity experiences to life for donors and clients every day.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Lead the marketing strategy for integrated campaigns for clients that include components such as direct mail, email marketing, digital advertising, web strategy, and CRO.
- Work with the team to develop CRO strategies, digital ad campaigns, email automation and campaigns in shoulder seasons.
- Develop hypotheses for A/B tests to improve campaign results and to roll them for clients in a myriad of different marketing channels.
- Develop the annual strategy and marketing roadmap for clients for campaigns - this includes direct mail specs, email deployments, digital ad campaigns (including budget allocation), email automation and website experimentation.
- You’ll write strategies for integrated campaign plans to help set the direction for annual fundraising campaigns and programs.
- Lead bi-weekly meetings with clients to ensure projects are kept on track, feedback is received, and, where needed, manage conflict.
- Be available for ongoing coaching, questions and feedback from clients to keep their fundraising program on track.
- Work closely alongside GX’s Lead Strategist to understand data insights to drive strategy, and ultimately, client revenue growth. You’ll join reporting meetings led by GX’s Lead Strategist to speak into campaigns to help guide ongoing campaigns. You’ll keep a close pulse on fundraising results.
- Co-deliver web-based (Zoom) and in-person presentations by leveraging the client's values and objectives and provide guidance that shows you clearly understand their goals.
- Manage client relationships and find ways to bring unique value so that the organizations that put trust in us also experience generosity.
- Bring an attitude to teach first, act second so that clients are in control of their own fundraising success.
You’ll absolutely love this role because:
- Company Values matter a lot to you and for us, it’s the most important factor in hiring and firing.
- You don’t want to feel like you need to sugarcoat things to clients or team members to be successful. Instead, you can let your guard down and be authentic. In the end, you know your authenticity will build trust which drives our clients’ success long-term.
- You have an appetite to work in an environment where we move fast because we are eager to meet our goals and accomplish more with what we have.
- You are encouraged to be generous with others. You are wise enough to understand that an abundance mentality is about bringing the best of what you have and giving that in full to others (compared to doing work for free).
- You’ll get to put your related marketing and fundraising experience (ideally 2+ years) to work in a startup environment. And if you’ve worked within an agency that’ll be a major reason why you were crushing it from day 1.
- You have a fire in your belly to help charities dramatically expand their impact across Canada and the US.
- You are entrepreneurial and want to be part of something that is growing and thriving.
- You get to live close to your colleagues - we prioritize hires in Calgary or Vancouver followed closely by other parts of Western Canada.
You’ll absolutely love this company because:
- We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Preference will be given to people from Calgary AB.
- You’ll enjoy two weeks of paid vacation time and some extra time off from December 25th to December 31st (don’t worry clients, I’ll still be working - Matt).
- We offer a Health Spending Account and Wellness Spending Account so you can cover the cost of your healthcare needs or use some money for other wellness desires (like buying a surfboard or registering for tango lessons).
- From May 1st until the August long weekend, we have Fridays off. We work hard many months of the year so in the summer, we enjoy a few extra days by the beach.
- We obsess over growth which means we MUST be consistently learning as a collective body. Each year we’ll take a free trip to attend a conference as a team.
- Once a quarter, we all meet in person to retreat to grow, learn, and collaborate in ways that are best done together in real life.
- We care about culture a LOT so if someone isn’t going to work out, we won’t drag it on. We strongly believe that if it is not a hell yeah, it’s a no. That means successful people thrive here because nobody slows down the pace of our collective success.
