JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager, Corporate P rogram M anagement O ffice (PMO) , is a dynamic operational leader with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through the successful execution and delivery of corporate programs and projects.

With extensive experience in Corporate PMOs, this leader excels in leveraging standardized program and project management practices, processes, and tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

The Program Manager has successfully managed multi- million-dollar programs for SaaS organizations, collaborating across various functions such as product, technology, services, sales, marketing, and other enterprise enablement areas. This role will lead multiple new product development s , managing multiple teams, large scale multi-year projects, complete through to a full product launch.

Passionate about change, the Program Manager is experienced in change management practices and serves as a change champion within the organization.

T he Program Manager demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences. They excel in stakeholder management, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders from individual contributors to executives.

HOW WILL I MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • Drive Program and Project Success : Lead the delivery of business outcomes through successful execution and delivery of programs and projects across diverse functions – including product, technology, services, sales, marketing, and enterprise enablement.
  • Enhance Efficiency and Effectiveness : Consistently apply D2L’s standard PMO practices, processes, and tools to optimize performance across the organization.
  • Adaptable Methodologies : Utilize waterfall, agile, and hybrid practices as appropriate to ensure flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Risk and Change Management : Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes to support teams and ensure successful program and project delivery.
  • Transparent and Clear Communication : Provide regular updates and reports on program status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders. Foster open communication across teams, senior leadership, and C-level staff.
  • Change Management Champion : Implement and advocate for D2L’s Change Management Framework to drive organizational transformation.
  • Process Optimization : Apply systems thinking to facilitate process design and optimization across D2L as needed.
  • Contribute to Excellence : Support the development of a best-in-class program management office.
  • Additional Responsibilities as Assigned.

  • Mission Alignment : Connect program/project teams’ daily responsibilities to D2L’s mission by setting clear objectives and performance expectations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve corporate and team goals, effectively managing relationships with other D2L teams.
  • Drive Productivity and Accountability : Partner with peers and leaders to enhance productivity and efficiency, holding the program team accountable for high-quality outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • 8+ years of directly related work experience in a fast-paced, global, high-growth SaaS markets; education technology experience strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of successful track record of leading teams to deliver complex, corporate-wide programs and projects on-time, with quality, and aligned out business outcomes
  • Experience leading client co-development/collaborative/joint/
  • d/partnered development projects
  • Demonstrated ability to independently translate strategy, solution complex issues, and drive for results through personal and team accountability, while building strong organizational bridges
  • Comfortable with working across Waterfall, Agile, and other methodologies
  • Player-coach mentality
  • Passionate about building a data-driven organizations and leveraging insights to drive decisions
  • Proficient in common project and work management tools
  • Outstanding communications skills with great reputation for communicating highly complex ideas and concepts with simplicity, power, and emotional impact\
  • Strong business acumen and thrive in an organization that is simultaneously mission, growth, and business driven
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance teams

Recommended Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related
  • Agile, Project Management, and/or Change Management certification(s) a strong plus (i.e., PMP, Six Sigma CSM, SAFe, Prosci)

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range $100,000 — $140,000 CAD
