The Department of Environment & Climate Change is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Park Land Administrator.
Duties:
Under limited supervision, this position provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Cottaging and Commercial Development Section within Manitoba Parks. The role focuses on the commercial development program, consisting of over 250 commercial operators, and Special Consideration Organizations (SCOs). Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, the position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high level of political acumen to manage legally sensitive and complex issues effectively.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience working in a real estate, land administration or legal environment. Significant experience in an unrelated office environment may be considered in combination with other relevant education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policy or procedures.
- Experience interpreting and reviewing application documents or equivalent experience in processing requests for approvals or other legal documents such as agreements, leases and/or permits.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and members of the public.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Experience in record keeping and file management.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential documents and information with political acumen.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent computer programs.
Desired:
- Experience working with Crown Land Registry System (CLRS) database or a similar registry data base.
- Experience working with electronic mapping tools and programs such as but not limited to ArcGIS or GoogleEarth.
