The purpose of the Abby Dads program is to provide fathers the opportunity, skills and courage to be active and healthy participants in the lives of their families. The Program Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of Abby Dads programming while providing both operational and administrative supervision to program staff. Position also entails providing one on one support to young fathers in the community.
Your Role:
Archway’s Supervisor/Facilitator with Abby Dads contributes by:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Abby Dads Program. Supporting staff through debriefing, addressing staff requests, providing coaching and training, mentorship and providing feedback.
- Providing guidance, support and oversight to program areas and administration, providing advice and direction as per best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Building strong community partnerships and maintaining strong links with referral sources, funders and other service providers.
- Developing and implementing programming, addressing identified service gaps.
- Working one-on-one supporting young fathers.
This position is a great fit for someone who is passionate about supporting fathers and has strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoys leading engaging group sessions.
Our Offer
- Wage: $36.49 per hour.
- A full-time position at 35 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays (maximum 7-9 hours per day). Program runs between the hours of 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Getting an Interview–you will be considered if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education.
- Experience in supervision.
- Specialized training and experience regarding family systems.
- Experience working with diverse client groups.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating group sessions, workshops, or meetings.
- Proven experience in roles requiring strong networking skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance and manage competing projects and priorities.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and ability to use database programs.
- Skilled at facilitating and communicating and presenting information to a variety of audiences in a clear, concise, and effective way.
- Skilled in being able to efficiently prioritize workload to respond to changing conditions, deadlines, and priorities.
- This position often deals with crisis and conflict situations and must be able to de-escalate.
- Willingness and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- A valid class 5 BC Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
- The use of a personal vehicle may be required for program-related driving; must be able to be insured according to Archway’s transportation policy.
- Emergency First Aid is an asset.
- Must maintain a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
