Job Description

As the Compliance Officer, reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible to support the wider business by way of providing guidance on compliance related matters with thorough knowledge of both the business processes, internal policies and procedures and relevant laws and regulations.

The role is part of the 2nd line of defence executing compliance duties according to DLL’s target operating model providing oversight and support mainly on AML/ATF. Other integral aspects of the role are Privacy, Conduct & Ethics and Core Compliance.

Day to Day

  • Implement policy requirements and contribute to the development of quality, streamlined, and fit for purpose compliance strategies and policies, training and information programs, plans, policies, and resources.
  • Provide advisory services to business owners on regulatory developments and support implementation of new regulations.
  • Execute local monitoring activities on Compliance risks/themes and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders on how to improve business processes to comply with DLL’s policies and standards.
  • Work closely with the Head of Compliance to develop and implement programs encompassing Financial Crime (AML and Fraud), Privacy & Records Management and Conduct Compliance.
  • Plan, execute and reporte on Second Line Monitoring (SLM) activities as required.
  • Collaborate with Group Compliance and the local organisation (where applicable) in reviewing new and amended policies and standards.
  • Provide compliance opinions to the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) team on customer due diligence queries that require compliance advice such as special categories of customers.
  • In partnership with the Regional Compliance Officer, implement the Compliance mandate on Compliance themes in alignment with the target operating model i.e. Financial Economic Crime, Privacy, Conduct and Ethics.
  • Contribute to the preparation of global compliance assessments and development of pertinent reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the Regional Compliance Officer and Group Financial Crime Compliance (Group FCC) oversight over AML, ATF and sanction risk (governance, management information (MI), risk assessment), managing regulatory remediation programs and driving required business changes needs.
  • Assist the Regional Compliance Officer in various Conduct related matters, including manage conduct incident reporting tool based on internal requirements.
  • Provide privacy advice to first line Privacy Co-ordinator on all privacy related incidents or queries.
  • Assist in filling Suspicious Activity Reports and/or Suspicious Transaction Reports to local regulator(s).

Essentials

  • You can demonstrate proficiency in understanding AML/ATF laws and have a working experience on advisory of application of AML/ATF laws to business processes in the financial services industry.
  • You have a University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in either AML or regulatory compliance.
  • You have completed ACAMS or a similar designation.
  • You are passionate about improving processes, solving problems while maintaining close relationships with relevant stakeholders. This also includes the ability to speak and write in clear concise terms.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks with minimum supervision. This also includes the ability to drive execution of recommended changes end to end.
  • Basic commercial understanding of vendor finance products, processes, customers and distribution channels is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in AML/ATF investigations and/or Quality Assurance is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in an independent and collaborative environment, both virtually and in-person (hybrid environment).

Applicable pay range

$83,889 - $125,834

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
