About The Role

Job Profile Summary

We are looking for an Operations Associate to join National Large Loss Claims team. This person will be highly collaborative, communicative, and analytical. This role is an even blend between administration, reporting, and project work. Casualty experience is considered an asset due to the complex nature of the files we handle and the projects involving historical policy data. We welcome level 1 adjusters with casualty experience to apply to this new and developing role.

This role is a key player in a small team but is high visibility because it supports a wider group, requiring strategic planning and execution. It has a broad scope of responsibility, often requiring you to make decisions and manage multiple moving parts of responsibility.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Support the Casualty team operations by: compiling and automating monthly reports, highlight data insights, trends, and risks, communicate findings to stakeholders, monitor and oversee the offline claims process, ensure data adequacy for assignment and large loss committee functions.
  • Coordinate various risk and compliance activities for the group, including support to colleagues executing those activities.
  • Manage special group events by planning, coordinating with both internal and external teams, and handling communications, necessitating continuous monitoring of ongoing events to ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate, interpret and analyze various performance and compliance reports using Excel.
  • Support the operations with the preparation of notifications and alerts for high-risk files, and the reporting for the associated forum.

What You Bring To The Table

College diploma or university degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience

Highly collaborative

Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and present data

Self-starter, highly organized and proactive

Customer driven

2 of more years claims insurance experience, in the casualty domain, considered a strong asset

Ability to create and automate reports

Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Bilingual (French and English)
