Shifts Available and Hours:

Onsite: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Reliability Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.

You’ll be the brain behind the maintenance schedule; planning, coordinating, and tracking preventive, predictive, and corrective work to keep the plant running safely and efficiently. The role involves preparing detailed work plans, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

You’ll work closely with Maintenance Supervisors, Reliability Engineers, Stores, contractors, and external vendors to minimize downtime, ensure compliance, and optimize resources. This computer-based role emphasizes CMMS, SAP, and data-driven planning to enhance reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational, negotiation, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics and plans, including dimensions and tolerances.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (MVP preferred); experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
  • Review and manage work orders in the CMMS (MVP), ensuring accurate planning, resource allocation, and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and contractors to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare detailed job packages, including scope, permits, tools, and required PPE.
  • Collaborate with Stores for material availability, kitting, and shutdown preparation.
  • Support and participate in shutdown planning, resource scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics while ensuring full compliance with HSE standards.
