Job Title: Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts

Position Summary

The Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts will support the finance function by managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards (IGAAP). The role requires a Chartered Accountant who will contribute to areas such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and audits. This position is ideal for a fresher or someone with up to one year of experience looking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Accounting

The role involves recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions in general and project accounting systems such as Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP tools. The Senior Executive will support accounts payable and receivable processes, manage vendor payments, customer receipts, follow-ups, and ensure timely and accurate booking of invoices, expense bills, journal entries, and other required adjustments.

  • Reconciliations & Closing

Responsibilities include performing regular reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and inter-company balances. The role also involves assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring that all ledgers and sub-ledgers are updated accurately and in compliance with IGAAP and internal policies.

  • Statutory Compliance

The Senior Executive will support GST-related activities including preparation and filing of returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, ensuring that all GST accounting entries are correctly recorded. The role includes assisting in TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and filing of returns such as Form 26Q and 24Q, along with maintaining proper documentation and working papers required for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

  • Reporting & Documentation

The role requires preparing supporting documentation for all accounting entries, payments, and reconciliations. It includes assisting in the preparation of MIS reports, financial summaries, and analytical reports for internal use, while also providing timely information and clarifications during statutory, internal, and tax audits.

  • Coordination & Support

The Senior Executive will coordinate with vendors, clients, banks, and internal teams to resolve invoice, payment, or documentation-related issues. The role includes supporting the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant in budgeting, cash flow planning, and project-level financial tracking, along with providing analytical and operational support for various finance initiatives.

  • Vendor Payments

The responsibilities include ensuring that vendor payments are processed as per due dates and payment cycles, generating payment advice, and ensuring accurate entry of all payment details into the accounting systems. The role also involves maintaining vendor reconciliation statements and resolving discrepancies proactively.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

The candidate must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). Additional certifications in Tally, ERP systems, GST, or financial analysis will be considered an advantage.

Experience

The role is suitable for a fresher or a candidate with less than one year of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or related fields. A working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP systems is preferred. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of IGAAP, GST, TDS, and core accounting principles.
