ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Manager is accountable for the leadership, development & management of all functions of the Quarry. The Plant Manager will ensure lean staffing and oversee safe production to enable plant productivity and maintenance in an efficient manner, while producing quality products for clients. The primary focus will be on safety and optimizing available reserves and capital employed while maximizing productivity at the lowest cost of production.


WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Lead employees with a goal of zero harm through on-site field-based leadership
  • Bring sales and productions together to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities from conception to reality to maximize production
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure the success of the site
  • Engage with stakeholders to represent operations while finding a balanced approach to success
  • Own financial results relating to all aspects of the operations to create strong returns and benchmarks
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Mining, or Engineering
Required Work Experience: 5 years of proven operational and supervisory experience
Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Suite, SAP
Travel Requirements: 5%

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be able to analyze financial statements and make recommendations
  • Strong communication, negotiation and change management skills
  • Prior work experience in unionized environment
  • Ability to foster and grow a strong safety culture

  • High capacity of working under pressure and stress
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
