Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Sales to be based in the Vaughan head office. The Senior Director of Sales Door Security Solutions Canada is responsible to drive sales growth for the DSS and Fleming and Baron brands across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct the implementation of a business strategy that aligns with the overall DSS and ASSA ABLOY strategies.
  • Generate and analyze weekly and monthly sales forecasts to guide strategic planning.
  • Identify key commercial activities and opportunities, then develop and implement business plans to ensure continued growth and improved profitability.
  • Develop execution strategies and tactics to support strategic plans at the regional level, which focus on driving sales of new products and technologies.
  • Maintain and increase sales via the current channel partners while developing new channel strategies up to and including recruiting new channel partners.
  • Plan and direct sales efforts across Canada through our direct sales force, as well as sales agencies to achieve or exceed targets for sales and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain organizational culture, values and reputation in marketplace and with staff.
  • Manage the business in a collaborative manner that promotes a consistent vision and enables the team to meet aggressive sales targets.
  • Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
  • Continually monitor sales force performance against established sales metrics to ensure progress against assigned objectives, and course correction when required.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and results with the sales force through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
  • Promote the business unit within the industry, manufacturing, trade associations and local community.
  • Work in partnership with ASSA ABLOY Canada Shared Services to ensure consistent and high quality support.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field
  • Experience of leading a profitable and growing business and/or running a sales organization
  • Experience in the industry (door, hardware and/or access control), market and customer base is strongly preferred; candidates with commercial building product sales management will be considered
  • Proven track record of performance excellence in meeting targets
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the capacity to achieve objectives through collaboration with others.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel in within the assigned territory up to 60% of the time
  • Ability to travel across Canada and into the U.S.
  • A valid driving record in good standing
