The Materials Engineering Division is currently seeking Materials Engineering Site Technicians for our Val-d'Or office to support the growth of our existing team.

Your Role

As a Materials Engineering Technician, you will actively contribute to project success by:

  • Ensuring compliance of materials (aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other related materials) upon arrival at the site;
  • Performing tests, inspections, and monitoring according to standards to guarantee the durability of structures being built or renovated;
  • Reporting any material implementation discrepancies using non-conformance memos and preparing a site report for each intervention;
  • Collaborating with the project technical team to ensure follow-up on site requirements;
  • Calibrating site equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliable results;
  • Applying health, safety, and environmental protection measures.

About You

  • DEC or AEC in civil engineering, forestry, mineral processing, or metallurgy – or comparative evaluation from the Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion;
  • Experience in material control;
  • ASP Construction card;
  • Ability to lift loads up to 25 kg;
  • Availability to work various shifts (day/evening/night/weekends);
  • Valid driver's license at the start of employment;
  • Access to a personal vehicle (travel is required for the role).
