Overview
We are looking for a Biology Team Lead to coordinate and develop a group of biologists. The candidate will report to the Director of Environmental Assessment and Community Engagement (EEPC). The position is available at our offices in Montreal, Boucherville, or Quebec City.
The EEPC team includes more than 65 employees at all levels, working on major projects in infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial and mining development, and more. Our group actively collaborates on various large-scale and strategic projects in Quebec.

We are looking for a Biology Team Lead to coordinate and develop a group of biologists. The candidate will report to the Director of Environmental Assessment and Community Engagement (EEPC). The position is available at our offices in Montreal, Boucherville, or Quebec City.

Your Role
- Lead the operations of a team of biologists;
- Help create a stimulating and respectful work and collaboration environment;
- Maintain constructive communication within the group and assist in resolving potential issues;
- Monitor team members' workload in collaboration with other managers;
- Support career development by setting goals and evaluating performance;
- Actively participate in delivering environmental team projects;
- Understand client objectives, technical protocols, guidelines, and regulations applicable to the work/projects;
- Contribute to preparing service proposals (technical and financial) and their marketing;
- Collaborate with various business units across Canada;
- Act as a direct interface between clients and AtkinsRéalis project teams and/or regulatory agencies, as required;
- Coordinate field inventories in terrestrial and aquatic environments;
- Perform other tasks as needed.
- University degree in biology or another relevant field;
- 10 years of experience in applied biology in environmental or consulting engineering fields;
- Experience in biological inventories;
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor technical and professional staff at different career stages;
- Strong knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental standards, regulations, and guidelines as they apply to environmental impact assessments and permitting at various project development stages in Quebec and federally, as applicable;
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage time and multiple deliverables effectively;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Proven technical writing skills;
- Commitment to excellence with a focus on quality control, quality management, and attention to detail;
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken); English bilingualism* is an asset.
- This position requires knowledge of another language besides French, namely English, as you will be part of a Canadian, global, or regional management team and will need to collaborate with colleagues outside Quebec.
