Overview

As a Team Leader,youwillmanage part of the existingteamwhileundertaking innovative and stimulatingprojects in the field of industrialprocesses.Under the supervision of the Director of ManufacturingProcesses and Handling, youwillplay a technicalrole (70%) and a management role (30%) in the execution of ourvariousprojects.

Your role

From a Management Perspective

  • Coordinate and plan the execution of projectsregarding the functions of employees, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Foster talentdevelopment and engage yourteam by creating a positive and motivatingworkenvironment.
  • Determineteampriorities to ensuretaskcompletion, performance, and properfunctioning.
  • Assignteamresources to projectsaccording to thesepriorities.
  • Participate in decision-makingbased on organizationalpolicies, procedures, business plans, and directives fromyoursuperior.
  • Activelyparticipate in the selection, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safetyrules in effect at AtkinsRéalis and at client sites.
  • Contribute to the growth of the organization, whichisactivelyinvolved in variousindustrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
  • Act as a coach and trainer for projectteammembers.

From a Technical Perspective, Youwill

  • Act as project manager and/or discipline lead in multidisciplinaryprojects.
  • Determinespecificprojectneeds, establish the scope of work, and identifyproject phases and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships and participate in the estimation and preparation of service proposals.
  • Perform design and calculationsrelated to projectneeds.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and other engineering documents.
  • Providetechnical support to the team and clients.
  • Assist clients in makingstrategicdecisions.
  • Support and advise junior and intermediateengineersfacingtechnical challenges.

About You

  • A Bachelor'sdegree in Chemical Process Engineering, Process Engineering, or relatedfields.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience, including 3 years in project and/or team management.
  • Experience in an engineering firm.
  • Registered member of Engineers in Quebec or Ontario.
  • Knowledge of industrial, agro-food, pharmaceutical standards, and Canadian and Quebec codes and regulations.
  • Ability to liaise and workdirectlywith clients, includingexperience in requirementsgathering and on-site commissioning.
  • Ability to meetspecified budgets, timelines, and qualityrequirements of projects and the company.
  • Proficiency in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PID), and Heat and Material Balances (HMB).
  • Knowledge and experience in riskstudies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, What-If).
  • Demonstratebothtechnical and managerial leadership.
  • Communication and influence skills in a matrix organization.
