The Camp Director is the primary point of contact for both parents and staff at their assigned location. Their role is to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain a high level of parent satisfaction, and uphold Laurus’ standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Camp Directors are present on-site every day during the camp season and are actively involved in planning, organizing, and preparing programming and logistics prior to the start of the summer.
Responsibilities
Off-Season (April- May part-time)
Seasonal contract from March to the end of August.
- March to May: part-time hours
- Nine weeks (late June to late August): full-time hours

Responsibilities
Off-Season (April- May part-time)
- Available full time for March Break
- Attend management training sessions and meetings.
- Support the development of camp programming and scheduling.
- Assist with all pre-camp preparations (supplies, planning, communication with families and staff).
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the camp.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and staff; communicate promptly and professionally.
- Manage, support, and coach staff throughout the season.
- Conduct staff evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with the administration team to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage and track all financial transactions for the site.
- Work with the sales team to create invoices and follow up on payments.
- Prepare and submit expense reports for the location.
- Report all concerns, incidents, or operational issues to upper management.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-organized environment for children and staff.
- Hold weekly meetings with the camp team.
- Oversee inventory management in collaboration with the Inventory Specialist to ensure all required materials and equipment are available for scheduled camp activities.
- Experience in camp leadership and/or management.
- Strong computer skills (Google Drive and related platforms).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability part time from March -May and full time from May–August.
- Bilingual an asset (English & French).
- Valid driver’s license.
