Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Manager, Ecommerce Category & Growth to support the optimization of the online category and growth strategy for the Joe Fresh eCommerce business. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the digital assortment and drive smarter customer acquisition, stronger retention, and deepen customer engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across Joe Fresh and Loblaw Digital to report on key category results and translate insights into strategic opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for ecommerce and fashion retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in developing and executing short-term and long-term category strategies to deliver sales, margin, and inventory productivity targets, in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Responsible for providing weekly/periodic/quarterly/annual data insights on sales, margin, and category and promo performance to support decision making and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Lead the full year and periodic ecommerce sales forecast, with the ability to re-forecast based on new category initiatives, changes in promotional strategies, and an evolving digital landscape. On a periodic basis, provide insights on how the business is tracking towards performance targets through maintenance of financial reporting documents.
  • Make recommendations on ecommerce promotional strategies based on category performance, manage ecommerce promotional calendar, and track promo performance results on a weekly basis.
  • Support in compiling customer engagement metrics and providing recommendations on customer acquisition and retention strategies for the ecommerce business.
  • Partner with the Joe Fresh Category team to provide data insights and make recommendations to support and optimize the ecommerce category strategy, including recommendations on ecommerce investment requirements and allocation strategy.
  • Partner with the Ecommerce Digital Experience team to provide data-backed insights to support optimizations in online merchandising, navigation, and product storytelling to enhance conversion and AOV.
  • Partner with the Ecommerce Digital Marketing team to align category strategies with promotional campaigns, paid media efforts, and other marketing initiatives. Provide input on marketing investment optimization based on category initiatives and channel performance and collaborate on strategies to maximize visibility and impact.
  • Support new growth opportunities for the ecommerce business and monitor performance against specific growth KPIs.
  • Identify and build automation opportunities for reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking to improve efficiency and decision making.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in ecommerce category strategy, ecommerce business analytics, or related roles within the retail or fashion industry.
  • Keen ability to interpret financial data with a sound understanding of digital retail math.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as LookML, Looker Studio or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing additional BI data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Snowplow Analytics) is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the passion for staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies as well as a strong understanding of the ecommerce apparel industry.
