Job Description

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager for our Policy Connectivity team within the Personal Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will act as the virtual CEO of the digital product, owning and driving strategy, usability, adoption, and backlog prioritization to deliver iterative value. This role requires innovation and advocacy for consumer journeys to influence process and experience simplification.

The Digital Product Manager will support the Lead Digital Product Manager on the Agent Technology Product Family, collaborating with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for implementations and enhancements. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate translation into technical solutions, supporting UAT testing, and managing post-implementation phases.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive success of integrations and downstream data components for the Policy Admin system for Allstate’s book of business.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Deliver outcomes iteratively: size stories, refine backlog, define and measure KPIs.
  • Apply Design and Systems Thinking to define vision and strategy, balance strategic goals with execution, and manage technical debt.
  • Lead inception/discovery sessions, prioritize sprints, demo features, and identify gaps with solutions.
  • Advance the digital product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives and consumer experience.
  • Create user stories, use cases, functional requirements, wireframes, and system flow diagrams.
  • Analyze business process changes and their impact on technical requirements and downstream integrations.
  • Support end-to-end testing, production releases, and smoke testing.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers to ensure test cases are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Co-own and lead incident responses and root cause analysis with the Managing Engineer.
  • In the case of an application outage, join Emergency Command Centre calls to identify the issue and resolve in production.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of product management experience.
  • Strong understanding of policy and underwriting functions in P&C insurance.
  • Experience with system integrations and dependency analysis.
  • Proven stakeholder management and results orientation.
  • Ability to partner with technology teams to assess system potential and impact.
  • Experience in the Canadian Personal Lines Insurance industry.
  • Background in maintaining platform availability and supporting root cause analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP) or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with defect-ticketing tools (e.g., Agility, JIRA).
  • Daily collaboration in multi-functional teams.
  • Skilled at negotiating consensus among departments with conflicting requirements.
