About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst will be a vital member of the Data & Analytics team within the Commercial Solutions line of business. This role is designed for a highly skilled professional who can translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing products and creating new data-driven solutions by leveraging proprietary data assets and collaborating with external data providers. They will design and deliver innovative reporting solutions, conduct advanced data analysis, and generate meaningful business insights.
The role also involves demonstrating thought leadership within the data ecosystem, evangelizing the value of data analytics across the organization, and fostering a data-driven culture. Key responsibilities include ensuring seamless data integration, maintaining high data quality standards, collaborating across departments, and delivering comprehensive visualizations using business intelligence tools. The Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting organizational efficiencies and strategic initiatives through detailed analysis, innovative visualization, and clear communication of findings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel
- Advanced expertise in Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
- Knowledge of Big Data Technologies such as HDFS, Spark, etc.
- Experience with Cloud platforms including AWS and/or Azure
- Understanding of spatial data concepts, including geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, Shapefiles), spatial analysis, and tools like ArcGIS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, finance, and data engineering to understand business objectives and translate them into technical data needs
- Research, identify, and extract external data sources relevant to business use cases, demonstrating creativity and resourcefulness in sourcing new data sets
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and high-quality standards in working with large datasets
- Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data pipelines and models align with organizational goals
- Diagnose and improve data quality across diverse sources and recommend integration strategies for disparate data sources
- Present insights through meaningful visualizations using Tableau, Excel, and other BI tools, tailored to the target audience
- Implement segmentation and categorization techniques to build dynamic analytical solutions
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, outliers, and anomalies that inform strategic decisions
- Develop advanced dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate data narratives
