The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with 5GNR and LTE technologies, strong architectural knowledge of wireless networks, and hands-on expertise with virtualization, containerization, and cloud-based solutions. Excellent communication skills are essential for conveying complex technical concepts to customers and executives, alongside robust networking and troubleshooting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced technical support for 5GNR, LTE, and Wi-Fi network deployments, resolving complex issues across RAN, core network, and end-to-end connectivity.
  • Perform detailed network performance analysis, identify connectivity bottlenecks, and conduct packet-level troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Configure and optimize network switching infrastructure, including VLANs, static routes, and QoS policies, ensuring seamless solution integration.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design, deploy, and optimize wireless network architectures for 5GNR, Wi-Fi, and LTE use cases.
  • Support cloud-based applications by applying expertise in communication protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, WebSocket), firewall rules, NAT, and port configurations.
  • Utilize monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Grafana) to proactively detect, analyze, and resolve system performance issues.
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions and root-cause analyses to technical stakeholders, customers, and executives.
  • Document technical issues, configurations, and resolutions in detailed reports to enhance knowledge sharing and support processes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in technical support, network engineering, or systems integration within wireless networking.
  • Deep expertise in 5GNR technologies (gNodeB, 5GC) and comprehensive knowledge of LTE systems (eNodeB, EPC).
  • Proficiency in 5GNR/LTE protocols with the ability to debug device-level issues.
  • Strong understanding of wireless network protocols (S1AP, NGAP, RRC, NAS) and their integration with cloud and edge solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for NFV.
  • Knowledge of cloud communication protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, WebSocket) for device-to-cloud interactions.
  • Advanced networking expertise, including firewall policies, NAT, port mapping, VLAN segmentation, and static routing.
  • Proven skills in network troubleshooting and packet analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, or iperf.
  • Experience configuring managed switches for VLANs, QoS, and basic routing (without requiring advanced protocols like BGP or OSPF).
  • Familiarity with observability and analytics tools (Grafana, Elastic, Spark) for system and network monitoring is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for field support, customer trials, and on-site troubleshooting.
