As the Senior Director, Strategic and Partnership Development at Bayshore Specialty Rx, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team with full P&L accountability, reporting directly to the Executive Managing Director. In this pivotal role, you will lead the growth strategy and market leadership for healthcare and pharmaceutical partnerships within Bayshore Specialty Rx. This role is crucial to expand and deepen relationships with payors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for healthcare and pharmaceutical partnerships, leveraging the Bayshore Specialty Rx network and the broader Bayshore HealthCare teams across Canada.
  • Build, strengthen, and manage senior level relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, payors, physicians, consultants and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to shape strategy, drive innovation and create relevant value-add solutions for clients and partners.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle for key offerings, from prospecting and business development through deal structuring and closure, ensuring a robust pipeline of customers.
  • Negotiate, structure, and actively manage large-scale partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and company values.
  • Manage the P & L of the business unit, delivering annual financial and key performance indicators.
  • Design and implement partnership solutions that align with business operations and capabilities, ensuring timely and effective client and partner solution
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to bring forward thought leadership on emerging pharma partnership opportunities.
  • Mentor and provide oversight to business development leaders and cross functional teams on specialty program function and design.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Canadian healthcare reimbursement trends, distribution logistics, and specialty pharmacy practices.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, advocating for best practices and building the company and division’s reputation.
  • Manage cross functional partnerships to operate as a unified Specialty business unit, driving alignment and shared success across all departments.
  • Partner with the RFP team to offer strategic insights and context for RFP/RFI responses, meticulously reviewing submissions.
  • Foster strong partnerships within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors in Canada to support market presence and business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in coordinating and managing MSA amendments to streamline contract processes.
  • Attend pharmaceutical conferences, and quarterly business review meetings as necessary.
  • Deliver comprehensive business and pharmaceutical insights confidently through presentations to internal stakeholders and clients across Bayshore.

Education And Experience

Education

  • University Degree in Pharmacy Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
  • MBA preferred

Experience

  • Deep pharmaceutical and specialty expertise in Canada, including drug handling processes, systems, and services, provincial reimbursement programs and formulary processes
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including drug benefit management, and chronic disease programs.
  • Track record of success in a senior leadership role within healthcare or pharmaceutical partnerships
  • Track record of driving significant business growth, developing partnerships and delivering financial results
  • Experience in managing sales and marketing organization through channel partnerships and strategic alliances
  • Strong track record in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, delivering multi-faceted, complex projects with tight timelines

Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel (approximately 25% of time)
