Test Systems Specialist at Lumenpulse

Reporting to the Production Technical Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and continuously improving our processes, as well as maintaining automated test systems to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of our products.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and implement test systems for products and integrated systems.
  • Develop and maintain automated test benches (hardware and software).
  • Participate in defining validation and qualification plans.
  • Perform diagnostics and failure analyses to support production and development activities.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to improve testing processes.
  • Document procedures, prepare technical reports, and ensure traceability of results.

Education & Experience Required:

  • DEC in Electronics Technology (embedded systems, industrial electronics, or equivalent). Experience in embedded systems and test instrumentation: an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the development or operation of test systems.
  • Strong programming skills (C, C++, C#, Python, SQL, LabVIEW, or equivalent).
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and communication interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet).
  • Excellent understanding of electronic schematics printed circuit boards (PCB), instrumentation, and measurement benches.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, 3D software, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or FUSION is an asset.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product design.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial equipment, including robotics, CNC machines, and other systems.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and convey complex technical concepts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills (solution-oriented).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, sense of priorities, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of process optimization techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Essential bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written), as the incumbent will interact daily with colleagues, clients, and international partners who do not speak French.
