Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics with 6-8 years of experience.
• Preference for accounting designation or working towards a designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA).
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP/BW, SAP analytics cloud program and Microsoft Suite of tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven success in business partnering outside of finance team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• The ability to translate data into concise key messages either for presentation or discussion purposes for non-finance audience with a continuous improvement mindset.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Deliver stewardship reporting, forecasting, business planning cycles and accounting policy decisions.
• Collaborate with business partners regarding all aspects of financial and business performance.
• Engage with budget owners to drive effective cost performance.
• Synthesize large amounts of detailed information quickly and present to stakeholders.
• Provide information to our central consolidation and reporting team.
  
  

Location and other Key Details:

• This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 –6th Ave S.W.
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
• Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work.
