Gymnastics/Acro Instructor - Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Gymnastics/Acro Instructor to join our team!

The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical training, a fun and positive attitude, and a love for working with children aged 3 to 12. You’ll lead structured, skill-building classes in a safe and encouraging environment while helping each student grow in strength, flexibility, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct weekly gymnastics/acrobatics classes using age-appropriate techniques
  • Create lesson plans focused on strength, flexibility, coordination, and skill progression
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe class atmosphere
  • Provide hands-on spotting and corrections with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Take down and set up the dance/gym room before and after each class, including mats and equipment
  • Prepare students for seasonal showcases or performances (if applicable)
  • Communicate professionally with families and Bright Studios staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized teaching space

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience teaching recreational or competitive gymnastics/acro
  • Background in dance, acrobatics, cheer, or physical education is an asset
  • Comfortable teaching a range of ages and skill levels (from Tiny Tumblers to Intermediate Acro)
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • NCCP or Acrobatic Arts certification is an asset, but not required
