VIA Rail Canada Inc., Canada's national passenger rail service, is currently looking to fill Passenger Car Cleaner (General Worker) positions for our Prince Rupert Maintenance centre
TASKS:
As a General Worker, you will be responsible to:
Plug the train into wayside powerClean the locomotive cab Remove garbage and restock Shut down the Genset, and the main engine Go into the cars and clean the train :vacuum the cars, remove all garbage from the bins and collect and garbage from the bathrooms. All seat trays to be cleaned and windows cleaned inside the train. All washrooms cleaned and sanitized

The position is full time a position .
Thursday 21:00-07:00 (Friday) 10 hours Saturday 21:00-07:00 (Sunday) 10 hours Monday 21:00-01:00 (Tuesday) 4 hours Tuesday 21:00-07:00 (Wednesday) 10 hoursSALARY:
Hourly salary: $32.39/h
Evening shift differential: $1.50/h
Night shift differential: $2.00/h

Possess a High School Diploma- Capable of lifting weights ranging up to 23kg (50 lbs.)

- Possess mechanical aptitudes (trade an asset)
