THE ROLE

The Program Instructor (Yoga) plans, organizes and delivers fitness classes. They demonstrate and instruct program activities and techniques. They assemble supplies and equipment, as required. The Program Instructor prepares class schedules and attends to clients with special needs.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma

Current program certification, such as Yoga Instructor

Experience

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications

In planning, organizing, and delivering classes

In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants

In ensuring safety protocols and procedures

Competencies, Skills And Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

Language Requirements

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Reading: None

Writing: None

Oral: Functional

Other Information

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This position is typically scheduled on Sunday mornings.

START DATE

18 January 2026

This is a casual position working no more than 13 1/3 hours per week. Casual employees are hired on a temporary basis for a fixed period of time not exceeding twelve months. A new contract can be issued without a break in service.
