WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Copywriter – Brand Voice – Global who will lead and execute the creation of campaign copy for brand marketing campaigns, working across OOH, PR, Email, Social, Video and Digital. We’re looking for someone who has a strong background working as a copywriter in the consumer goods space, ideally with a global scope.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Collaborate with the Creative and Brand teams to lead conceptual development for campaigns; craft lead copy in partnership with art direction and visual merchandising to deliver a holistic customer experience
- Act as a custodian of The Ordinary’s Tone of Voice, ensuring it is upheld in everything we create and providing training and feedback to other teams/external agencies/freelancers on the tone
- Responsible for creative copy of an exceptionally high standard for all channels
- Own The Ordinary’s detailed Style Guide, treating this as a living document and updating regularly
- Responsible for developing tools for copywriters in partnership with channels, such as templates and style guides
- Present copy, strategic directions and creative ideas to senior stakeholders and leadership
- Build strong working relationships with our colleagues in the Brand team, to ensure an aligned vision for creative copy and campaigns
- Stay up-to-date with beauty, lifestyle and pop culture trends and consider how we might tap into these to connect with our audience in an authentic, engaging way
- Bring a social-first mindset to copy; work closely with the Social team to understand what makes our messaging perform on each channel
- Distill the complexities of the brands’ chemistry and scientific approach into accessible, consumer-facing language
- Use data and insights to inform copy creation; ensure copy leverages these insights and has maximum impact
- 7+ years of equivalent work experience in leading copywriting/creative teams, conceptual copywriting and working for large, global consumer brands
- 3+ years of management and mentorship experience, with the ability to inspire, motivate and lead copywriters and creatives
- Previous experience writing copy for social media, marketing materials, internal communications, and customer facing content is essential
- Demonstrable experience developing copy and concepts for global consumer brands, with a portfolio showcasing broad campaign work across multiple brands and channels
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment, juggling multiple priorities at once
