Cafe Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of the Counter Attendants to ensure efficient and timely service, as well as ensure a positive customer service atmosphere is provided for guests. As a Cafe Supervisor, you will contribute to Goodwill’s mission by supporting the success of Edgar & Joes Café, helping create jobs and opportunities, and offer great food and customer service to the local community.

What You Will Do:
- Setting an example for employees on providing excellent customer service.
- Follows the Customer Care Cycle (I Care) consistently providing world class customer service to all customers, internal and external, of Goodwill.
- Communicating necessary health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with Goodwill’s policies.
- Schedule and prioritize work among employees.
- Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Disciplinary responsibilities as outlined by management.
- Adhering to and promoting use of the required uniform.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the café.
- Handling customer satisfaction concerns and complaints.
- Encouraging the development of employees through training and support.
- Some administrative duties – filling out cash reports at end of day and completing bank deposits.
- Ensuring quality of presentation.
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees.

- Financial/numerical acumen for monetary transactions and cash handling.
- Able to test, inspect, clean, and ensure functionality of various equipment.
- Must have completed three month probationary period in Counter Attendant position.
- Some high school or equivalent.
- Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Smart Serve Certification an asset for catering events.
