As a Corporate Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments.

Responsibilities For Corporate Security Guard

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols across three buildings on a 90-minute rotation.
• Check all doors and access points; ensure they’re secure and not jimmied in any way.
• Perform environmental checks (water leaks, airflow, unusual noises) and report lighting/HVAC or other issues to maintenance.
• Control access to secure areas; verify visitor identification and maintain a professional front-of-house presence.
• Respond promptly to emergencies (fire, medical, security breaches) and stabilize scenes per protocol.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents.
• Document activities and incidents thoroughly—complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports in G-Trac
• Capture and communicate follow-ups (maintenance tickets, safety hazards, recurring issues) to the appropriate contacts.
  
  

Qualifications For Corporate Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification an asset
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
