The Junior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Customer Intelligence team. This involves taking ownership of monthly Ad Hoc reporting, incentive tracking, and dashboard maintenance and vendor automation. Additionally, this role will perform other analytics to support pricing strategy, customer insights, and financial accruals and cash disbursement for incentive agreements, along with developing metrics and reports to monitor the health of the business. This includes data mining, quantifying, reconciling, evaluating and transforming internal and external information into business intelligence to further drive the achievement of strategic and sales objectives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and action all reporting requests, meeting all deadlines and cadences of customer reports
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to gather reporting requirements and build new capabilities. Includes performing data validation, combining multiple complex data sets, and end user testing of dashboards to ensure data accuracy and usability and self serve dashboarding capabilities as required.
  • Build solutions to combine multiple sources of data accurately to enhance sales and market intelligence.
  • Establish and own all incentive tracking (reporting & payments) to achieve compliance with agreed upon payment dates
  • Own and maintain all reporting for our customers
  • Responding to general customer inquiries
  • Create and maintain automated dashboards, including data maintenance
  • Work with business to build value add options/alternatives for customers. Responsible for developing model/calculation(s) required for customer contract incentives and to ensure accrual, reconciliation, and payment process can be executed based on terms of proposal.
  • Build alternate proposal models with the business based on market insight. Liase with Finance and Commercial Operations Teams to ensure all financial and compliance/legal considerations are assessed.

Education & Experience

  • University Degree, Degree in Business, Communications, Life Sciences, Health Sciences
  • 1 year of related analytical experience or Co-Op experience.
  • Fluent in both French and English (read, write, speak).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite such as Word, Outlook, Teams with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Maintains high standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable – able to switch gears and reprioritize quickly.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a self-directed and autonomous manner.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with uncertainty analysis, forecasting, and general decision support is an asset
  • QlikView, Power Bi, SAP, BI/BW, Microsoft Access experience is an asset.
