As a Service Employee, you'll work closely with our Maintenance Department to ensure smooth operations and reliable service for the communities we serve.

Service Employee - Chatham, ON
Join First Student, North America's leading school transportation provider, and play a vital role in keeping our buses safe and ready for the road. As a Service Employee, you'll work closely with our Maintenance Department to ensure smooth operations and reliable service for the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Open the yard gates and check bus parking areas to ensure all vehicles can be dispatched on time; reposition buses as needed for safe traffic flow.
- Dispense fuel and maintain accurate records, including Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Month-End Closing Report, and Meter Calibration Report.
- Monitor fuel levels and notify the Location Manager when deliveries are required; take precise stick readings before and after each delivery.
- Check and top up essential fluids (oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission, brake, windshield washer) and inspect belts during fueling.
- Perform light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as needed.
- Assist with minor building and grounds upkeep.
- Complete other tasks as directed by management.
