The Role

As the Senior Salesforce Developer, you will take the lead in designing and building Salesforce solutions specifically tailored for healthcare systems. This is more than a technical role—you will be integral in driving a major transformation project that will modernize how patient data is managed, enhance operational workflows, and streamline care delivery. As a senior technical member of the team, it will be your responsibility to mentor developers, admins, and QA teams to maintain a high standard with product releases as well as reinforce the importance of maintaining collaborative working relationships with business stakeholders.


Key Expectations:

  • Programming Languages : Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, JavaScript, and Java.
  • Database Management: Experience with SOQL, data modeling, and data validation.
  • Integration : Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, FHIR standards, data synchronization, and middleware solutions (Mulesoft and Boomi preferred).
  • System Configuration: Knowledge of Salesforce settings, user roles, lightning flows, data model, OWD, and approval processes. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce security features and how to leverage the to maintain platform security.
  • Architecture Experience: Understanding of cloud-based platforms, SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multitiered infrastructure, and integration patterns.
  • Agile Development Practices: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security measures and best practices for integrated Salesforce environments, specific experience in a healthcare setting an asset.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative standards related to protecting patient data. Hands-on experience on Shield is a bonus.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with at least 2 years in a senior role. 2+ years experience developing directly in Health Cloud required.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II required, Salesforce Certified Application Architect and OmniStudio Developer strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing Salesforce applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience mentoring and supporting junior developers and admins.
  • Strong knowledge field service app is strongly preferred
