Location: Graphic Packaging International, ULC – Mississauga, Ontario
Shift: night shift with flexibility to support mornings, nights, rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, statutory holidays, overtime, and on-call coverage.

Industrial Millwright (433A Certified)

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery and equipment in accordance with layout plans, blueprints, and schematics.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and production machinery.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure production quality.
- Use precision measuring tools and instruments to verify accuracy, fit, and alignment of components.
- Safely operate hoists, cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to position heavy machinery.
- Fabricate, weld, and machine parts as required to support equipment modifications and repairs.
- Accurately enter breakdown details, labor hours, and maintenance activities into the FIIX CMMS system to ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance with GPI standards.
- Apply a root cause mindset when troubleshooting problems, ensuring corrective actions address underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and reports.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) requirements, company safety policies, and environmental standards.
- Contribute to a workplace culture focused on incident prevention, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Industrial Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification or equivalent recognized certification.
- Demonstrated experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must provide a standard industrial tool set; specialty tools will be supplied by the company.
- Experience with CMMS systems (preferably FIIX) is considered an asset.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
- Frequent climbing, stooping, bending, and overhead reaching.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
- Work in environments that may be noisy, hot, or involve repetitive movements.
- Regular use of hand and electrical tools, welding equipment, and machinery.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities For All Employees
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
