CSV Systems Specialist at The City of Red Deer

The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for CSV Systems Management and other related systems, training, analysis, system-based transactions and reporting of communication and customer support. This position acts as a user-driven system owner within the organization.

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

• Grade 12 supplemented by a diploma in Business Administration or equivalent post-secondary education and applicable experience.
• Three years’ experience working in a complex computerized/information systems environment.
• Previous experience with CSV Systems such as Intelli, Crystal Reports and SQL software is an asset.
• Previous experience working in a community service is an asset.
• Ability to anticipate, identify and effectively deal with problems or risks.
• Ability to develop and analyze business processes, involving critical thinking, solution development and cross-functional understanding.
• Flexibility to work with changing service needs and priorities. Ability to process a high volume of information within tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) highly technical business process instruction into information that is easily understood. Need to use listening, questioning, and influencing skills in order to develop appropriate reports, system enhancement and service levels.
• Ability to make well-considered decisions in a responsive and open manner based upon a mixture of analysis, collaboration with others, experience, and judgment.
• May be required to work outside regular business hours, including weekend, in order to meet deadlines, especially during system upgrades.
• Knowledge and experience with business software such as Excel, Word, Access, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.

Remuneration:

$35.33 to $37.40 per hour.

Hours of Work:

75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Additional Information:

The term of this position is anticipated to be approximately 10 months.
