About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Accounting Policy team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for interpreting complex accounting standards, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting the development and refinement of our accounting policies and procedures. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Legal, Sales, and Operations to analyze revenue recognition and contract terms, providing expert guidance that influences strategic decision-making.
Your expertise will be essential in preparing comprehensive documentation, supporting audit processes, and leading initiatives related to new IFRS standards and system implementations. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- CPA designation required or near completion
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in technical accounting, audit, or financial reporting
- Proficiency in IFRS standards and financial regulations
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment
- Proven leadership in process improvement initiatives
- Evaluate complex customer agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under IFRS 15 and other standards
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation supporting revenue recognition decisions and accounting judgments
- Develop and update internal accounting policies, procedures, and position papers
- Analyze financial data to identify revenue trends and provide actionable insights for business decisions
- Collaborate with Legal, Sales, and operational teams to ensure alignment on revenue-impacting terms and conditions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, GAAP, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Lead or contribute to initiatives related to IFRS standard adoption, system upgrades, and policy enhancements
