Responsibilities

The Training Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring training activities to ensure compliance with APSYS requirements across all métiers. This role ensures timely delivery of mandatory training, tracks progress, and provides visibility through dashboards and KPIs. Additionally, the Training Project Manager contributes to the establishment of a training center to grow local competences, ensuring sustainable skill development, alignment with project needs, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Team Identification & Coordination
  • Collaborate with métier leaders to identify the core team.
  • Develop and deploy a process to keep the core team updated on all metiers.
  • Establish clear communication channels with stakeholders.
  • Training Requirements Management
  • Identify and list all training requirements as per APSYS standards for each metier.
  • Coordinate with metier leaders and central teams for consistency and compliance.
  • Liaise with central teams to ensure standardization with the rest of Alstom.
  • Maintain an updated repository of mandatory and requested trainings.
  • E&M Training Center
  • Collaborate with all the project disciplines to define the needs for a training center.
  • Participate in training center discussions with Metrolinx, including initial proposals and annual updates.
  • Manage the implementation of the E&M training center as a standalone project, ensuring proper planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Training Progress Monitoring
  • Receive monthly updates from HR on completed trainings.
  • Create and maintain a dedicated log to track progress of the core team against mandatory training requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Develop KPIs to measure training compliance and progress.
  • Design and maintain a Power BI dashboard for real-time visibility of training metrics.

Organisational Reporting

Report to the Alstom E&M Deputy Project Director

Network and Links

The role will support the Systems S&TC, Electrification, Systems and transversal support functions.

Interface with Customer

Educational Requirements

University/College degree in Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent commercial background.

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of railway products and systems
  • Conflict management and interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit approach
  • Strong attention to details
  • Communication abilities to obtain collaboration from the matrix organisation involved in the project,
  • Excellence in organizational and time management skills
  • Be a good listener
  • Anticipation, clear reporting
  • Important : to have knowledgeable in all standard office tools (xls, word, mpp, ppt, outlook, ….), Project Management Softwares.
