Title: Regional Manager, Health Emergency Management

Salary: $99,899 - $111,652 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri)

Location: Prince George – Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).

About The Role

As Regional Manager, Health Emergency Management, you will support regional operational readiness, response and recovery for FNHA and when required, providing health emergency management support to the First Nations within the region. It supports the establishment of regional emergency plans along with procedural guidelines envisaging challenges and risks with a strategy to proactively addressing and mitigating them in a timely and effective manner. It supports senior leadership, through briefings and presentations, with information on FNHA emergency management programming. It represents and speaks on behalf of FNHA at various emergency management forums and maintains enriching relationships with Federal, Provincial, Regional and Local Authorities. This role provides oversight of a team of staff.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

EDUCATION

  • A University Degree with specialization in Public Health, Health Sciences, Disaster and Emergency Management or other relevant health field or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
  • Completion of formal training or qualifications in health emergency management or emergency management is an asset.

Experience

  • Recent and significant experience (usually acquired with a minimum of 5 years) in emergency planning or responding to health emergencies and working within inter-governmental relationships and responsibilities
  • Experience in providing advice and recommendations to senior management on health emergency preparedness and response issues
  • Experience working with First Nations communities and/or organizations

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of First Nations in BC, including the governance landscape particularly as it relates to health and wellness
  • Knowledge of health services delivered to and by First Nations communities

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
