Your role is important. It supports the organization’s financial operations, reporting, and compliance. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial analysis. Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit tax and government-related filings.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a perpetual inventory system
- Assist in itemizing expenditures related to inventory, including freight, duties, and vendor rebates.
- Analyze overhead costs, contract margins, and markup structures to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
- Calculate annual labour and overhead rates to support cost planning and margin analysis.
- Prepare weekly payment schedules and ensure time-sensitive payments
- Support budgeting processes
- Monitor daily cash balances and prepare cash flow reports
- Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and deployment of new financial systems (e.g. CRM, ERP)
- Contribute to the development and documentation of internal control processes
- BComm and CPA designation or pursuing
- 4+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
- Experience in public accounting or audit is highly desirable
- Prior experience in manufacturing or inventory-based environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems and CRM platforms
- Comfortable working with large datasets and financial systems
- Clear, professional communication across all levels
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Compliance
