Join the Blight: Survival team as a Principal Technical Animator and become the bridge between art and technology.

You’ll empower our animators to bring a vast, diverse world of characters, creatures, and objects to life by building, extending, and optimizing the tools and engine pipelines that make it possible. As a technical animator, you'll work out how the tools and game engine can be developed to overcome the technical challenges associated with creating animation for our games.

In this role you will :

  • Be responsible for animation and character integration, procedural animation set up.
  • Spot potential animation problems, research new technologies, and find solutions
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve animation bugs across various in-game systems.
  • Profile and optimize character rigs and animation assets to ensure they meet memory and frame rate performance budgets without compromising visual quality.
  • Sharing knowledge with animators and programmers, and write technical documents.

What we're looking for :

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in animation in the video game industry.
  • Excellent technical skills like rigging and skinning as well as a good understanding of the principles of animation.
  • Expertise in Maya and Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with multiplayer games.
  • Knowledge of MEL script and Python is a plus.
