THE ROLE

STRIVE has partnered with a boutique Vancouver real estate developer known for building thoughtfully designed multi-family and mixed-use communities. The company has a strong reputation for craftsmanship, quality, and a people-focused approach, with a collaborative culture and a growing portfolio of residential projects.

As the Senior Corporate Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health and integrity of a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use real estate projects. As the Senior Accountant, you’ll oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and analysis while collaborating with project teams and senior management to deliver accurate and timely insights that support strategic decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Oversee preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts for multiple entities.
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end financial statements and tax filings.
• Maintain financial schedules and dashboards to support business decisions.
• Partner with project accountants and cross-functional teams to align operational and financial data.
• Drive process improvements and help implement accounting best practices and reporting efficiencies.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional with a deep understanding of corporate and project-based accounting — ideally within real estate, construction, or property management. You enjoy taking ownership of your work, thrive in a collaborative team setting, and take pride in delivering accurate, meaningful financial information.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation (or near completion).
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate development, construction, or public practice.
• Strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi or Sage 300 CRE is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.

Compensation Package

• Competitive salary in the range of $75,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience.
