Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and procurement of MRO supplies, spare parts, and services to support plant operations and maintenance
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost savings and supply continuity
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers; evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery
  • Process Purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies or supply issues promptly.
  • Oversee invoice management and ensure timely payment processing
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and safety standards
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to understand MRO requirements and priorities
  • Drive cost reduction, process improvement, and reliability initiatives related to MRO procurement
  • Maintain accurate records and manage MRO data within the company’s ERP or purchasing systems
  • Maintain and develop costing models using tools such as excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Handle international sourcing including managing tariffs and cross border receiving/shipping, etc.
  • Draft Contract and Supply agreements for MRO parts and Services

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of MRO procurement and Sourcing experience, preferably in manufacturing (tissue, paper, or related industries is a plus)
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ERP systems (JD Edwards, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proven skills in office tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI etc
  • Ability to present to small and large groups
  • Proven ability to lead projects
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
