We are looking for a pastry cook intern passionate about the art of creating joy for every occasion. This meticulous individual will be entrusted with elevating our clients’ culinary experience by crafting refined desserts and pastries for our restaurants and events. Under the supervision of the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for carefully and creatively preparing desserts and pastries for our restaurants and events. You will ensure the quality and presentation of each creation while respecting the high standards of our establishment.
We have a winter internship opportunity in our hotel located at Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer starting this January 2026.
What You Will Do

What You Will Do
- Prepare house pastries following established recipes, while ensuring attractive presentation and consistent quality.
- Create pastries for banquets, taking into account the requirements and specificities of each event, in order to deliver an exceptional culinary experience to our guests.
- Contribute to pastry decoration design.
- Collaborate on the preparation of bakery and pastry products (cookies, scones, petits fours, etc.) for banquet breaks.
- Participate in the monthly pastry inventory, ensuring proper stock management and adherence to freshness and hygiene standards.
- Experience as a pastry chef in a full-service restaurant or hotel environment, an asset.
- Strong mastery of basic pastry and bakery techniques, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment, meeting deadlines and upholding quality standards.
