COMPETITION NUMBER C25-26-CE-10 POSITION Hourly Teacher - Spanish Second Language - SSL Conversation (Winter 2026) The Continuing Education Department is looking to hire an hourly teacher to teach a non-credited course from January 13th to February 19th, 2026.SSL Conversation evening course (30 hours)
This is an introductory 30-hour course for students, who have basic or no prior knowledge of Spanish, to the basic vocabulary, grammatical rules, and functions necessary for discussing familiar topics like introducing people, talking about their family, and favourite sports, etc. This course will provide students with various communicative activities for developing their listening, speaking and reading skills, and thus enable them to function effectively in simple everyday situations
Start Date: January 13th, 2026
Holidays (no classes): none
End date: February 19th, 2026
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Delivery Format: Onsite Main Campus in Gatineau WORK LOCATION 325, boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau (Québec) J8Y 6T3 ROLE SUMMARY In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation and production of course, delivery of training, production and delivery of all training documents, adaptation of training to clients' needs, objectives and desired learning outcomes MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- A combination of relevant diplomas or certifications in a related field, and a combination of industry experience related to the courses being taught.
- A Bachelor's degree is not required, but would be considered an asset.
- Experience teaching adult learners would also be considered an asset.
- Create a dynamic, challenging, and motivated learning environment.
- Adapt to a variety of needs and provide appropriate online support.
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through academic or non-academic experiences.
- Apply theoretical concepts to current workplace needs and skill requirements.
