We fund the brightest minds in cancer research. We provide a compassionate support system for all those affected by cancer, across Canada and for all types of cancer. Together with patients and advocates, we help shape government policies that create a healthier future for everyone. We believe that to take on cancer, it takes all of us. It takes a society.

In 2026, CCS will launch a new five-year strategic plan. This is an exciting leadership opportunity, in a newly created position, to drive meaningful outcomes and long-term mission impact.

The CMO will lead a team of approximately 350 to maximize the positive impact of CCS’s mission programs and investments, intensifying CCS’s efforts to improve cancer survival, stop cancer before it starts, and enhance quality of life for people affected by cancer. They will represent the CCS mission to diverse audiences and build impactful relationships with partner organizations, government, the cancer control community, the research community, advocates, donors, and the media.

CCS is looking for a proven leader who is passionate about the organization’s mission, who will inspire teams and partners with an exceptional clarity of focus on impact, to ensure CCS is leading the way to a world without cancer. Ideally bilingual in English and French, the CMO will be a skilled communicator, team builder and change champion – one who inspires those around them and fosters a culture of collaboration, impact, innovation, accountability, and inclusion.
