Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions is hiring a Purchasing & Inventory Lead to join our team at The Windsor Transitional Care Unit, located in Amherstview, Ontario. Our Transitional Care Units (TCUs) are 24/7 facilities that help patients transition from hospital. As Purchasing & Inventory Lead, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring these units are fully equipped to deliver exceptional care. This position combines strategic purchasing with hands-on inventory management and direct support to clinical teams on the unit.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work directly on the unit to receive, verify, and distribute inventory to clinical floors, ensuring staff have timely access to essential supplies.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement of healthcare equipment, supplies, and services for daily operations and new site launches.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Managers to forecast needs, maintain optimal stock levels, and implement Kanban and other inventory management processes.
  • Monitor stock and manage replenishment, ensuring accuracy and readiness for patient care.
  • Arrange and track orders for timely delivery; oversee asset tagging and preventative maintenance
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and public sector directives.
  • Analyze market and healthcare trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Support ERP system rollout and contribute to process improvements.
  • Coordinate short-term service needs (e.g., movers, installers, repair techs).
  • Participate in quality and safety initiatives, including proactive Health & Safety activities and reporting.
  • Travel within Ontario as required to support multiple programs.

Qualifications: What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field; APICS or Lean Six Sigma certifications are assets.
  • 5+ years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain—preferably in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with IPAC standards and healthcare equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing/ERP systems.
